The formula consists of advanced cross-linking synthetic polymers that can last up to a year on your daily driver. It can be applied by hand or together with a machine polisher. The polymers heat-reactive element reacts well with a machine polisher, producing a finer finish. During the winter the sealant protects again road salt and other harsh weather-related happenings. Throughout the summer, bird droppings, tree sap and UV rays will be warded off, too, so it really is a year-round product.
Starting with a clean vehicle that has received the contamination stage treatment, Power Seal can then be applied.
We would advise doing a proper detail to ensure smooth paint before applying, and finishing up with our Tough Prep product to really prep the surface for application in the best possible way. If you don’t have Tough Prep, you can also use Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
Make sure to give the bottle a good shake before you use it – this helps to integrate all the different ingredients. Whether you’re applying by hand, with a dual action (DA) machine polisher or a rotary polisher, make sure the vehicle is clean and dry.
If applying by hand, apply a small amount of the product to the black side of a dual-foam applicator pad and work it a panel. Make sure to tackle a panel at a time. Using small, overlapping movements, work in until the formula starts to disappear. Once you’ve sealed a panel, buff off using a Plush Microfibre Towel.
If applying using a machine polisher – either a dual action (DA) or a rotary – apply 3-4 pea-sized drops of product to a soft foam finishing pad and spread onto a manageable section of the paintwork using the lowest machine speed. Apply to a small panel or a half larger panel at a time, using the lowest speed setting. Increase speed to 4000 – 5000 OPM (if DA) or 600-900 RPM (if rotary) until the formula starts to disappear. A very light haze of product should still remain. Once you’ve completed a panel, buff off immediately using one of our Plush microfibre towels.
AF’s quick tips:
Do not use Power Seal in direct sunlight, or in temperatures below 0-degrees Celsius.
Can provide up to 12 months’ durability and offers high levels of protection from road salt during the winter.
Heat-reactive polymer element react when applied using a machine polisher.
