Avalanche Snow Foam

Auto Finesse Avalanche Snow Foam is our powerful, foaming pre-wash solution. We’re often asked why you should even use a pre-wash like snow foam. It’s more expense, more time etc. Well, all we’ll say is; it’s a must in any car detail! Infused with citrus power, Avalanche Snow Foam loosens off stubborn dirt so it’s easier to wash off in wash stage. Snow Foam relieves the need to scrub, removing contaminants that may otherwise be moved around the vehicle during contact washing – thus inflicting unwanted swirl marks.

Snow foams are a high-foaming cleaner, which work in conjunction with a snow foam lance, pumping water through the system through mesh inserts to agitate the solution into a foam. The thick foam sits on the car for much longer than a shampoo, meaning its cleaning agents can be left to saturate any dirt sitting on the paint’s surface.

Now, we’ll be honest here, we can’t really tell you the exact dilution you’ll need. This will depend on a number of factors including what lance you’re using and at what rate water passes through your hose. Not only that, the snow foam is actually diluted twice over, before even hitting the car. Once by you, and second by the foam lance, and as we all know we don’t all use the same lance. However, with a bit of practice from you, you can find YOUR formula. We advise starting with less (around 1-2 inches of solution added to the lance bottle), and adding more until you get the correct dilution for your set-up. If you start with a little and add to it, you’ll ensure you’re not using too much solution. Too much solution won’t necessarily hurt the car, but it may unnecessarily hurt your pocket.

Snow foams not only rid the car of dirt before a full wash with a wash-mitt, it can also help to penetrate areas a wash-mitt can’t even reach.

If you don’t have a pressure washer foam lance, you can use a pump spray bottle or garden hose foam lance, but we’d definitely advise investing in a pressure washer, complete with foam lance. Make sure to completely cover the car from top to bottom and leave to sit for around five minutes. When that time is up, pressure wash the soap off (again, working from the top of the car to the bottom), making sure the snow foam solution is completely removed.

AF’s quick tips for use:
– Mix the snow foam to a 50/50 ratio with a good quality degreaser to pre-soak engine bays.
– Avalanche snow foam is suitable for use on wax and sealants, meaning it won’t remove any protection you’ve previously applied to your car’s paintwork.
– Do not allow the solution to dry on the surface in direct sunlight.
