Paint Correction -  £35.00 Per Hour

Paint correction is the process of removing swirls and scratches from paintwork using specialist polishes with varying degrees of abrasiveness, applied by machine polisher. We can remove swirls cobwebbing, water marks, bird stains and scratches on the surface of the paint. And even restore the paint to its original colour, if it has become dull or faded. This can save on an expensive respray and help a vehicle retain, or reach, its maximum resale value.

Paint thickness measurement

To ensure Safety we always use a coating thickness gauge (PTG) when correcting paintwork. This eliminates guesswork, by allowing us to see exactly how much paint can be safely removed in the course paint correction. The PTGs we use are the very best on the market from standard to advanced layer separating model that can show the thickness of the crucial clear coating and determine the paint thickness on composit and carbon fiber body panels.

Paint Correction Consultation -  £75.00

This is refunded from the cost of a detail, should a detail be commissioned afterwards.
The consultation includes:

•  Readings of paint thickness, on all or most panels of the vehicle
•  Panel test to help decide on the level of application
•  In-depth explanation of correction/treatment methods
•  Advice on future care and cleaning techniques
•  Paint thickness readings taken, and printed report provided
•  Machine polishing and correction work undertaken
•  Detailed advice on how to avoid swirls and paint defects in the future

Please note that this service may require one of our detail services, as paint can only be proficiently corrected once pre-washed and clayed.
