Introducing Waxmate

The innovative & ergonomic wax applicator

We are proud to announce the launch of yet another quality product from Auto Finesse. Our new Waxmate may look like any other applicator, but its not. For years we have put up applying waxes with applicators not suited to the pots most hard waxes are poured in, an over sized applicator usually results in uneven loading and only using around 1/3 or 1/2 of the surface at best, our new Waxmate has been specially engineered to fit the exact diameter of our wax jars, meaning a simple quarter twist covers the whole face and ensures you get a better, more even coverage when using our hard waxes. Its design also lends its self to be much more comfortable to use from the raised grip platform and can be compressed down and stored in the top of the wax pot for next time.

We are proud to announce the launch of 4 new products to the range, the new products see us venture in to new realms, vehicle interiors. The new additions consist of a dedicated interior APC (all purpose cleaner) gentle enough for modern interior finishes yet powerful enough to deal with all cleaning tasks. A dedicated interior anti static detailer, designed to protect interior finishes from UV damage without effecting the surface for a natural finish, and finally our two new leather care products, a cleanser/cleaner and protection condition.

Taking the leap across the pond

Auto Finesse is proud to announce the launch of our US distribution and Detailing centre. The United States is the spiritual home of “detailing” the first in depth detailing forums where US sites and the now largest detailing community Detailing World (a UK establishment) was founded by UK members of these US sites, so it seems fitting we take our products for the US detailing community to enjoy and use, after all its about time we give something back.

Bassed in North Carolina Auto Finesse USA operates with the same Ethos as Auto Finesse here in the UK, run by professional detailers who know the products inside out, and can offer good honest advise from first hand experience in the industry.

Is Lather safe on wax?

When we first set about creating our shampoo Lather, we had a few goals in mind but first and formost we wanted a straight up PH neutral cleaner that would not affect or deteriorate existing paint protection, i.e. wax or sealant layers. The shampoo was to be a “detailers” shampoo, no added wax or gloss enhancers that clog up and dull a good wax finish, after all who wants to put cheap glossers over the top of a high grade Carnuba wax finish? No one. Then we set about making it a high concentrate with a dilution ratio in the 1000:1 part shampoo. Its a heavy hitter, but the question arrose “at such a concentration if not diluted enough will it not strip wax?” so we made this short video demonstration to show you could pour it neat on to a waxed surface and it still wont remove or affect your wax. Nothing finishes a car off better than a good clean tail pipe, a job no one likes, but everyone likes to see the finished results of, this metal cleaning paste will take care of heavy carbon deposits with ease without damaging the surface, its also effective on weathered brushed aluminium like that found on the window surrounds of many modern cars, and bare metal polished rims.

Auto Finesse at Autosports International

We will be kicking 2012 off by attending the Auto Sports international show at the NEC in Birmingham. This is actually our 3rd year here now being the official on site detailers for the show since 2009, but its our first year actually exhibiting at the show. We will have the full current range on display as well as giving you the first glimpse of some new additions for the 2012 line up, so we welcome all our current and future customers to come see us at stand No: 19672 between the 12th and the 15th of January.

The AutoSports / Pistonheads show is one we all look forward to here at Auto Finesse, is by far one of the largest motoring events in the UK, and given its an indoor event the “great british weather” never spoils it (well not until the walk back to the car parks anyway). The show always offers a great mix of companies, both big and small, mainstream to very specialist. So if you are at a lose end on any of the days through the 12-15th Jan, its well worth having a stroll around the show.

Update

The show was a great success for us here at Auto Finesse, giving us the chance to put our products and brand in front of an audience of car enthusiasts, the live product demos went well and giving people the chance to try the products for themselves was a great help.
